Black Walnut Trout Recipe

Recipe By Inn at Gristmill Square

4 fresh trout filets
1 cup milk
1/2 cup black walnut meats
1 1/4 cup corn meal
Olive oil

Put cornmeal and walnuts in food processor and chop fine. Dip filets in milk and then cornmeal mixture (press lightly to help cornmeal adhere). Heat olive oil in saute pan and when hot add trout flesh side down and cook until golden brown. (1 to 2 minutes). Turn and cook skin side. Garnish with a few whole black walnuts and lemon wedges.

Serves 4
