The Guest House offers ten guest rooms, each furnished with custom handmade furniture of David T. Smith, one or two queen-size beds, a full private bath and air conditioning. The Guest House also includes a large gathering room, complete with TV, books, games and a piano.
Murphin Ridge Inn also features six hand-built Woodland Cabins, each with a whirlpool tub, fireplace, queen or king-size bed, and air conditioning. Each cabin is an ideal romantic hideaway or a retreat for yourself.
The Spurgeon’s home, built in 1826, has been converted into a charming and intimate Dining House. Enjoy dinner by candlelight in one of four dining rooms. In the fall and winter, cozy up to the hearth, and in the spring and summer dine on the patio among the flower and herb gardens. Dress is comfortable and casual, but the food is elegant. Your stay includes a bountiful country breakfast. Stroll over for dinner in the evening and you’ll find the chef preparing regional American cuisine. The dinner menu changes four times a year to reflect the best of the season.
Relax and refresh with abandon. Sit on a rocking chair on the Guest House front porch with your feet up, sipping slowly from a glass of homebrewed raspberry iced tea. Explore the Inn’s hiking trails with Red Dog as your guide and discover gorgeous waterfalls and historic vantage points.
